DK Weight Sock Toe Series: The Barn Toe

Like the two other toes in this series, the Barn Toe is created by alternating a decreasing round with one or more plain knitting rounds in the beginning. Near the end, every round is a decreasing round. Similar to the Star Toe, the Barn Toe decreasing rounds have four decrease stitches. However, the decreasing stitches are located on the sides of the foot.

Abbreviations

  • k – knit
  • st(s) – stitch(es)
  • rnd(s) – round(s)
  • k2tog – k 2 sts together
  • ssk – slip, slip, knit: slip 1 st knitwise, slip another st knitwise, insert left needle into the front of the 2 slipped sts, knit them together

The toe decrease instructions are written by size.
